Youth Training & Self-employment project :
The aim of the project is to impart skill development training to the unemployment youth in different trades and provide them credit facilities for establishment of self-employment projects. There are 64 districts and 475 Upazilla offices (including 10 metropolitan unit thanas) and 64 training centres under the project. The project was ended in june'03 and the process of transferring the project into permanent set up of the Department of Youth Development is under way.
Technical Training Project for Unemployed Youth (Phase-2):
The prime objective of the project is to make the unemployed educated youth into skilled human resource and make them self-reliant through technical training. Under this project educated unemployed youths are provided practical training on Computer basic course with internet & networking, computer graphics course, electronics with mobile phone repairing, electrical and house-wiring, refrigeration and air-conditioning. The project area is in 64 districts in Bangladesh. The project has come to an end on 30 June, 2006. The activities of the project are still in operation and the project is under the process to transfer in the revenue setup.
Establishment of Youth Training Centre Project :
The main purpose of the project is to impart training to the mail & female unemployed youth on livestock, poultry and pisciculture and motivation them for undertaking self-employment project. Along with training, first-aid knowledge of poultry and livestock is also given to youth during the training period for protecting their assets. The project ended in June'2007 and now under the process to transfer in the revenue setup.
Supply of Input to the Trained Youth for Self-employment Project :
The main objective of the project is to provide disease-free high-breed pullets amongst the trained youths who undertake self-employment projects. For production of pullets the construction work of a poultry hatchery has been completed at Savar near Dhaka. Produced pullets will be sold at cheaper price amongst the trained youth. The project was completed in June 2007 and now is being implemented through self-financing.
Human Resource Development Centers :
This is a human development centre which is designed to transform the unproductive youth into an organized, disciplined and productive human resources by imparting training on human relations like management, personal management, leadership, motivation, communication, civic education, problem solving and decision-making and national social services. The center also organizes seminars, workshops, youth summit and youth exchange programs at national and international level. Beside these, the center conducts research works relating to youth development. The project came to an end in June, 2006. But the activities of the project are still in operation and the project is under the process to transfer in revenue setup.
